OBJECTIVE To analyse the geographic variation in the rates of coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) between 1981 and 1991. DESIGN Retrospective study of discharge abstracts (from the provincial hospital discharge database) for odd fiscal years. SETTING Ontario.
