In 6 normal rabbits, the aortic arch, the descending thoracic and the abdominal aorta were tested for non proteic thiol compounds, selenium-dependent and selenium-independent glutatione peroxidase, glutatione reductase, glutatione transferase and thiobarbituric acid reactive substances.
