The role of ischemia in the pathogenesis of diabetic peripheral neuropathy remains uncertain. We used the distribution of [14C]butanol to measure resting regional sciatic nerve blood flow in normal, anesthetized rats and in rats with acute experimental diabetes from streptozotocin administration.
