A control for periodically initiating operation of pumping apparatus of a lubricating system and stopping the pumping apparatus in response to development of a predetermined lubrication pressure in the system. The control includes an initiating switch which is periodically actuated, e.g., by a timer, a pressure-responsive switch which is actuated in response to development of the predetermined pressure, and a relay including sets of normally open and normally closed contacts.
