Sulfhydryl and disulfide metabolism in platelet function has recently reemerged as a focus of platelet research. In this study we tested the effect of redox buffer on platelet aggregation and the effect of reduced glutathione (GSH) and platelet activation on sulfhydryl exposure in the platelet fibrinogen receptor, alpha IIb beta 3.
