The type of material ofMonhystrella parvella (Filipjev, 1931) comb.n. from Abyssinia (Ethiopia) is redescribed and figured in detail. Data on the genital system and the ontogeny of this species are given. Monhystera filiformis sensu Gerlach, 1951 nec Bastian, 1865 of the Black Sea at Pomorie (Bulgaria) is synonymised with M. parvella. The Black Sea specimens have a shorter pharynx, a longer tail and differ also from the Abyssinian specimens in the shape of the tail and the spinneret outlet.
A redefinition of the genus Monhystrella Cobb (Nematoda, Monhysteridae) with keys to the species
The genus Monhystrella Cobb, 1918 is redefined and an up‐to‐date list of its species is given. Illustrated keys to both females and males of the species are provided, including the description of the
State of the art of the free-living marine Monhysteridae (Nematoda)
TLDR
This study proposes to transfer eight species of the genus Thalassomonhystera to the genus Monhystrella, to show the most important diagnostic characters to identify each genus and provide taxonomic tools for species identification.

Aquatic nematodes from Ethiopia II
TLDR
Eight species of the genus Monhystrella, six of which are new to science, are described from bottom samples collected from three lakes, two rivers and a hot spring in Ethiopia, with the presence of a hyaline coelomocyte next to the germinal zone of the reproductive system reported for the first time in all eight species.
Aquatic nematodes from Ethiopia III
Six species of the genus Eumonhystera, one of which is new to science, are described from bottom samples of Lake Tana and two associated rivers, River Abbay and R. Gelda, Ethiopia. E. geraerti n.sp.
Meiobenthos composition and structure in highly mineralized tributaries of Lake El’ton
TLDR
The meiobenthos of six tributaries of the hypergaline Lake El’ton (the Volgograd region) in the low-flow period (August) has been researched for the first time and the tendency of the species richness to decrease with increasing mineralization from the mesoto eu- andhypergaline level was observed.
Deep subsurface mine stalactites trap endemic fissure fluid Archaea, Bacteria, and Nematoda possibly originating from ancient seas
TLDR
Stalactites are suitable for biodiversity recovery and act as natural traps for microorganisms in the fissure water long after the water that formed the stalactite stopped flowing, indicating a Permian origin of fracture fluids is discussed.
