In this study, we address the problem of recovering the cross section shape of an unfolded book from the image of its surface taken by the image scanner. To attack this problem, we propose the practical method using the eigenspaces which are constructed by some shape and intensity profile da ta L: Light SOW of the book surface to reduce the data size.
