A 59 years old man with carcinoma of the larynx and the upper esophagus was treated by 6, 000 rad of Liniac therapy preoperatively, and underwent total resection of the tumor with a satisfactory post-operative progress.Six months later the patient had the secondary reconstruction of the upper esophagus utilized with a large skin flap from the anterior chest wall according to Watson's technique with an excellent result.This reprot is to describe the surgical technique.
