Malignant hyperthermia-susceptible (MHS) pigs homozygous for the Cys615 ryanodine receptor allele demonstrate altered sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) ryanodine binding and Ca2+ release channel regulatory properties when compared with normal pigs homozygous for the Arg615 allele.
