Receptor-mediated heme uptake from hemopexin by human erythroleukemia K562 cells.

Using human erythroleukemia K562 cells, existence of receptors for hemopexin has been investigated. Hemopexin was bound to the cells in saturable, time- and temperature-dependent manner.
