  • Publisher Summary This chapter reviews the chemical studies on peptide antibiotics from the genus Bacillus . These peptide antibiotics can be divided into three large groups: linear peptides, cyclic peptides, and peptide lactones. The number of antibiotics from Bacillus is of the order of 117, of which 80 members are peptides.
