At this article, a methodology for modeling and animation of complex dynamic system is described on its two components: the former consisting on the algorithms for modeling, by means of implementing fuzzy cognitive maps; the latter consisting of the visual representation module which was developed on Macromedia Flash. This last module, more than just a simple graphic user interface, allows a reactive animation of the system according to the values received from the modeling component. Both…

Tackling Travel Behaviour: An approach based on Fuzzy Cognitive Maps
Fuzzy Cognitive Maps are explored to represent the behaviour and operation of such complex systems and an automatic approach to extract mental representations from individuals and convert them into computational structures is defined.
Fuzzy Cognitive Map Construction Support System based on User Interaction
An interactive Fuzzy Cognitive Map construction support system is suggested which builds a FCM increasingly concerning multiple experts` knowledge and supports user-supportive environment by dynamically displaying the structure of FuzzY Cognitive Map which is constructed by the interaction between experts and the system.
Using Fuzzy Cognitive Mapping in Environmental Decision Making and Management: A Methodological Primer and an Application
Widespread concerns over the integrity of natural ecosystems worldwide have initiated numerous attempts at developing new tools of monitoring present conditions, assessing future risks and

Inference error minimisation: fuzzy modelling of ambiguous functions
Constructing fuzzy models with linguistic integrity from numerical data-AFRELI algorithm
This algorithm is complemented with the use of the FuZion algorithm created to merge consecutive member- ship functions, while guaranteeing the distinguish ability between fuzzy sets, and shows a good tradeoff between accuracy and interpretability.
Generating an interpretable family of fuzzy partitions from data
A new method to construct fuzzy partitions from data using an ascending method based on the definition of a special metric distance suitable for fuzzy partitioning, which generates a hierarchy including best partitions of all sizes from n to two fuzzy sets.
Neuro-fuzzy systems for function approximation
Nefclass | a Neuro{fuzzy Approach for the Classification of Data
The presented model derives fuzzy rules from data to classify patterns into a number of (crisp) classes and uses a supervised learning algorithm based on fuzzy error backpropagation that is used in other derivations of the fuzzy perceptron.
Decision Support Using Causation Knowledge Base
An illustrative example is presented to show how the knowledge base system assists the decisionmaker in grasping the complex problem in its totality.

Experimental results are presented which indicate that more accurate clustering may be obtained by using fuzzy covariances, a natural approach to fuzzy clustering.
