Realisation of a New MULTITASK Phantom (M.T.P) for the Verification of Global Performance of an MRI System

Abstract

The diversity of machines and the complexity of the technique of MRI imaging require protocols of quality control. These protocols are generally realised with a lot of phantoms. However, these operations of quality control require a lot of time. In order to reduce these operations and save time, we realise a multitask phantom. The phantom is constructed with polyamide and filled with a solution of copper sulphate (CUSO<sub>4</sub>). It is called multi-task phantom because it contains some compartment characterised by specific geometrical forms. Thus, it allows us to do several controls through only one acquisition protocol
