Apoptosis contributes to tubular epithelial cell death and atrophy in aldosterone (Aldo)-induced renal injury. This study aimed to determine mechanisms underlying Aldo-induced reactive oxygen species (ROS) and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress in tubular epithelial cells.
