The extent of re-growth of catecholaminergic fibers, the survival of cholinergic neurons and the degree of autonomic dysreflexia were assessed in complete spinal cord-transected adult rats that received a repair treatment of peripheral nerve grafts and acidic fibroblast growth factor (aFGF).
