  • As in many Southeast Asian societies, the religious landscape of Laos is structured by the difference of a world religion and local and personalized relations often called animism. This chapter deals with the dynamics between Buddhism and what is vernacularly called spirit religion (sadsana phi) among Jru’ (Loven).
