At the request of the editors of the JCS we offer here a transliteration of the Nos. 236-283b of the texts from Alalakh which have been published in handcopies either in our The Alalakh Texts (Occasional Publications of the British Institute of Archaeology at Ankara No. 2, 1953) or in JCS 8 (1954). The tablets were collated again. Those signs which should be changed in the published copies are marked with an asterisk and reproduced in cuneiform on p. 33.
