Febrile neutropenia is a complication of myleotoxic chemotherapy that can markedly decrease quality of life and increase healthcare costs. A granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) is used to increase neutrophil production to reduce the risk of developing febrile neutropenia.
