Rapid, metal-free hydrosilanisation chemistry for porous silicon surface modification.

Abstract

Here, we report a novel surface modification for porous silicon (pSi). Hydroxyl-terminated pSi surfaces are modified with a hydrosilane via Si-H activation using the Lewis acid catalyst tris(pentafluorophenyl) borane.
