We conducted a randomized study in patients with previously untreated advanced (T3) larynx carcinoma to compare total laryngectomy followed by radiotherapy to induction chemotherapy, followed by radiotherapy in good responders, and by total laryngectomy plus radiotherapy in poor responders.
