We report results of the Raman measurements for ${\mathrm{SrRu}}_{2}{\mathrm{O}}_{6}$ having extraordinary high N\'eel temperature for a layered material. No additional phonon modes were detected at the temperature of magnetic transition thus excluding lowering of the symmetry in the magnetically ordered phase. An unusual increase in softening and damping of some phonons as the temperature approaches ${T}_{N}$ indicates the appearance of a continuum of interacting electronic excitations at $T…

Multipeak quasielastic light scattering and high-frequency electronic excitations in honeycomb Li2RuO3

We measured the temperature dependence of low-frequency Raman spectra in Li$_2$RuO$_3$, and observed multipeak quasielastic scattering in the Ru honeycomb polarizations below and above the

Magnetic and electronic ordering phenomena in the Ru2O6 -layer honeycomb lattice compound AgRuO3

The silver ruthenium oxide AgRuO 3 consists of honeycomb Ru 5 + 2 O 2 − 6 layers and can be considered an analogue of SrRu 2 O 6 with a different intercalation. We present measurements of magnetic

Lead‐Free Cs3Sb2Br9 Single Crystals for High Performance Narrowband Photodetector

Lead‐free single crystal perovskite materials exhibit impressive characteristics, such as high carrier mobility, low trap density, and long diffusion length. Herein, the high‐performance blue light

High antiferromagnetic transition temperature of a honeycomb compound SrRu2O6

We study the high-temperature magnetic order in a quasi-two-dimensional honeycomb compound ${\mathrm{SrRu}}_{2}{\mathrm{O}}_{6}$ by measuring magnetization and neutron powder diffraction with both

Raman signatures of strong Kitaev exchange correlations in (Na1−xLix)2IrO3: Experiments and theory

Inelastic light scattering studies on single crystals of (Na1−xLix)2IrO3 ( and 0.15) show a polarization-independent broad band at ∼ 2750 cm−1 with a large band-width . For Na2IrO3 the broad band is

Localized-itinerant dichotomy and unconventional magnetism in SrRu2O6

It is found that the strong hybridization between Ru d and O p states results in a Ru valence that is closer to +4, leading to the small ordered moment ~1.2 μB, consistent with a DFT prediction, and correlation effects are found to play a significant role.

Temperature-dependent correlations in covalent insulators: Dynamical mean-field approximation

Motivated by the peculiar behavior of FeSi and ${\text{FeSb}}_{2}$, we study the effect of local electronic correlations on magnetic, transport, and optical properties in a specific type of band

Antiferromagnetism at T > 500 K in the layered hexagonal ruthenate SrRu2O6

We report an experimental and computational study of the magnetic and electronic properties of the layered Ru(V) oxide SrRu2O6 (hexagonal, P3¯1m), which shows antiferromagnetic order with a Neel

DFT+DMFT study on soft moment magnetism and covalent bonding in SrRu 2 O 6

Dynamical mean-field theory is used to study the three orbital model of the $d^3$ compound SrRu$_2$O$_6$ both with and without explicitly including the O-$p$ states. Depending on the size of the

REVIEWS OF TOPICAL PROBLEMS: Peierls structure transition in quasi-one-dimensional crystals

This review is concerned with the structure, electrical, and optical properties of mixed-valence platinum complexes of the K2 Pt(CN)1, Br0.303H2O type and of TTF-TCNQ salts. Special attention is paid

Phonon properties in narrow gap FeSi and FeSb2 single crystals

We review the phonon analysis of FeSi and present a new study of the Raman and infrared (IR) active phonons of the related compound FeSb2. The measurements are supplemented by a factor group

Raman scattering signatures of Kitaev spin liquids in A(2)IrO(3) iridates with A=Na or Li.

It is found that the Raman response of the gapless QSL of the Kitaev-Heisenberg model exhibits signatures of spin fractionalization into Majorana fermions, which give rise to a broad signal reflecting their density of states, and Z(2) gauge fluxes, which also contribute a sharp feature.

Localized itinerant electrons and unique magnetic properties of SrRu 2 O 6

SrRu2O6 has unique magnetic properties. It is characterized by a very high Neel temperature, despite its quasi-two-dimensional structure, and has a magnetic moment more than twice reduced compared to
