Gamma ray radiation alert monitoring 4 was used to determine the variation of terrestrial gamma radiation levels in some parts of Ogun state, South Western Nigeria. The study revealed that there is v ariation in the value of absorbed dose on ground surface and a metre above the ground surface. The value recorded on the ground for sedimentary terrain, basement com plex and suspected transition zone across the study area are higher than the valu es recorded above the ground surface. Review of Combined Magnetic and Radiometric Methods of Geophysical Survey in Nigeria

This paper focuses on the review of the magnetic and radiometric methods of geophysical surveys in Nigeria. It evaluates the areas/regions covered, techniques adopted vis-à-vis different software

Redefining the boundary between crystalline and sedimentary rock of Eastern Dahomey Basin

TLDR
It is demonstrated that areas that were previously fixed as sedimentary terrains on geological maps belong to the crystalline basement or transition zone, and a new and reliable geological boundary is hereby drawn between the basement and sedimentary rocks.
