There is not a classification of azygos anterior cerebral artery (ACA) based on anatomical branching levels in the literature. In the present study, a classification of azygos ACA was made based on radiological imaging for a common terminology, and frequency, accompanying vascular anomalies and malformations were investigated. A total of 4913 cases who had brain CTA, MRA, contrast-enhanced MRI and DSA in January 2010–January 2020 period were screened for the study. Based on anatomical branching…

Imaging Markers of Intracranial Aneurysm Development: A Systematic Review.
TLDR
A1 segment asymmetry was identified as an imaging marker of Acom aneurysm development with converging evidence and a meta-analysis was not possible due to the heterogeneity of marker definitions and outcomes used, and poor methodological quality of many studies.

Nonsaccular aneurysms of the azygos anterior cerebral artery.
TLDR
Azygos ACA aneurysms are rare, and may have unusual nonsaccular anatomy (for example, fusiform shape, broad base, complex branching, and/or thrombus in the lumen).

VAH is a frequent vascular variant that can lead to a relative regional hypoperfusion in the PICA territory and additional research should clarify the pathophysiological role of VAH in PCI.
Giant aneurysm of the azygos pericallosal artery: case report and review of the literature.
TLDR
The treatment of distal anterior cerebral artery aneurysms is often difficult, because of their broad-based irregular configurations and adherence to surrounding tissue, tendency to bleed irrespective of size and the coexistence of other cerebral aneurYSms.
