Thirty-five patients with clinically staged non-metastatic squamous carcinoma of the oesophagus were treated with radiation combined with mitomycin C, and 5-fluorouracil (5-FUra) infusion. Twenty patients were planned for a split course regimen 2250-2500 cGy in 10 fractions and chemotherapy. This dose of radiation to be repeated with another course of chemotherapy after 4 weeks rest.
