This paper investigates the use of the linear quadratic Gaussian controller to control the voltage and frequency of a wind energy conversion scheme. This scheme cosists of a wind turbine and induction generator connected to the utility grid via AC-DC-AC asynchronous link. The control objective aims to regulate the rectifier output voltage and track the maximum available wind power.
