The biosynthesis of some mitochondrial enzymes requires contributions of both the mitochondrial and nuclear genomes. The ribonucleoprotein enzyme Ribonuclease P (RNase P) is composed of a mitochondrial encoded RNA and nuclear coded protein in many yeasts, including C. glabrata.
