Based on phylogenetic studies with DNA sequence data, the formerly monotypic genus Cordemoya was recently expanded with 16 additional species previously assigned to Mallotus. However, the earliest legitimate generic name available is Hancea, and, therefore, Cordemoya is here reduced to Hancea (20 new combinations are proposed). Subsequently, the subgenus and section Diplochlamys from Asia are renamed to Hancea. Additionally, the genus Adisca is lectotypified with Adisca floribundus (= Mallotus…
A new Madagascan species of Hancea Seem. (Euphorbiaceae)
ABSTRACT A new species of the genus Hancea Seem, is described from the forested region of eastern Madagascar. It can be readily distinguished from the three species previously recognized on the
Recent changes in Thai Euphorbiaceae sensu lato
TLDR
The monotypic genus Chorisandrachne Airy Shaw is reinstated, and separated again from Leptopus Decne based on phylogenetic evidence.
How to tackle revisions of large genera: lessons from Macaranga and Mallotus (Euphorbiaceae).
TLDR
Two approaches to revise large genera are discussed, one of which can be done by a single person, who revises the genus area after area, and another by a team that revises per infrageneric taxon.
Key to the Malesian species of Mallotus (Euphorbiaceae)
TLDR
An identification key to all Malesian species of Mallotus was still lacking, so the first attempt to create a key for all species in Malesia was made.
The phylogeny of Mallotus s.str. (Euphorbiaceae) inferred from DNA sequence and morphological data
TLDR
An analysis of quantitative morphological data, in combination with qualitative morphological and molecular datasets resulted in almost completely resolved phylogenies and increased support values, however, the higher-level relationships between the clades are not supported in the authors' analyses and the position of many taxa is still ambiguous.
Dated Phylogenies of the Sister Genera Macaranga and Mallotus (Euphorbiaceae): Congruence in Historical Biogeographic Patterns?
TLDR
The two genera Macaranga and Mallotus show congruence in dispersal patterns, which corroborate divergence time estimates, although the overall mode and tempo of dispersal and diversification differ significantly as shown by distribution patterns of extant species.
Leaf anatomy of Mallotus and the related genera Blumeodendron and Hancea (Euphorbiaceae sensu stricto)
TLDR
In this study, leaf anatomy is used to discuss the infrageneric delimitation of Mallotus and Hancea and to compare these genera with the more distantly related Blumeodendron.
A New Record of Gaertnera junghuhniana Miq. (Rubiaceae) from Southern Vietnam
TLDR
The presence of Gaertnera junghuhniana in Vietnam is reported and a description and photographs based on the new collections are provided based on the authors' new collections.
Notes of Pioneer Species in Kuala Keniam and Surrounding Area at Taman Negara, Pahang, Peninsular Malaysia
Pioneer species of seed plants are common and important species in the succession. This group of plant occurred everywhere in Peninsular Malaysia especially in the gaps, open areas and roadsides. In

TLDR
Of the family Euphorbiaceae three new species of Mallotus Lour from Malesia are described and illustrated.
A taxonomic revision of Mallotus sections Hancea and Stylanthus (Euphorbiaceae)
TLDR
Mallotus sections Hancea and Stylanthus from Malesia are revised and M. oblongifolius is synonymised with M. peltatus, resulting in the exclusion of 4 species from this section.
Re-shaping Mallotus [Part 1]: Expanded circumscription and revision of the genus Cordemoya (Euphorbiaceae)
TLDR
Cordemoya (formerly monotypic with C. integrifolia from the Mascarene Islands) is expanded with sixteen additional species previously assigned to Mallotus, and two subgenera are recognized: Cordemoya from Madagascar and MASCarenes and Diplochlamys from Asia.
Molecular phylogeny of Macaranga, Mallotus, and related genera (Euphorbiaceae s.s.): insights from plastid and nuclear DNA sequence data.
TLDR
The analyses demonstrated the monophyly of Macaranga and the paraphyly of Mallotus and revealed three highly supported main clades, suggesting migrations or dispersals from Asia to Africa and Madagascar.
On Mallotus and Deuteromallotus (Euphorbiaceae) in Madagascar
L'auteur montre que le genre Deuteromallotus est base sur une mauvaise interpretation de certains caracteres et doit etre considere comme synonyme de Mallotus. Une nouvelle combinaison est etablie,
