At RIKEN Nishina Center, a series of experiments for studying the heaviest elements has been done by using a gas-filled recoil ion separator (GARIS). Isotopes of the 112th and the 113th elements, 277Cn and 278113 by the 70Zn induced one neutron emission reactions on the targets 208Pb and 209Bi, respectively.
