We have developed a relativistic model for pulsar radio emission and polarization by taking into account a detailed geometry of emission region, rotation, and modulation. The sparks activity on the polar cap leads to plasma columns in the emission region and modulated emission. By considering relativistic plasma bunches streaming out along the rotating dipolar field lines as a source of curvature radiation, we have deduced the polarization state of the radiation field in terms of the Stokes…

Curvature radiation in rotating pulsar magnetosphere
• Physics
• 2012
We consider the curvature emission properties from relativistic particles streaming along magnetic field lines and corotating with pulsar magnetosphere. The corotation affects the trajectories of the
Polarized curvature radiation in pulsar magnetosphere
• Physics
• 2014
The propagation of polarized emission in pulsar magnetosphere is investigated in this paper. The polarized waves are generated through curvature radiation from the relativistic particles streaming
General relativistic effects on pulsar radiation
• Physics
• 2021
The magnetosphere of, and electromagnetic (EM) radiation from pulsars are usually described in the framework of classical electrodynamics. For some pulsars, however, whose emission heights are
The Role of Rotation and Polar-cap Currents on Pulsar Radio Emission and Polarization
• Physics
• 2013
Perturbations such as rotation and polar-cap current (PC-current) have been believed to greatly affect the pulsar radio emission and polarization. The two effects have not been considered
On the frequency dependence of pulsar linear polarization
• Physics
• 2015
Frequency dependence of pulsar linear polarization is investigated by simulations of emission and propagation processes. Linearly polarized waves are generated through curvature radiation by

• Physics

We have developed a model for the polarization of curvature radiation by taking into account the polar-cap-current-induced perturbation on the dipolar magnetic field. We present the effects of the
Toward an Empirical Theory of Pulsar Emission. XII. Exploring the Physical Conditions in Millisecond Pulsar Emission Regions
The five-component profile of the 2.7 ms pulsar J0337+1715 appears to exhibit the best example to date of a core/double-cone emission-beam structure in a millisecond pulsar (MSP). Moreover, three
A model for distortions of polarisation-angle curves in radio pulsars
Some radio pulsar profiles (in particular those of millisecond pulsars contain wide emission structures which cover large intervals of pulse phase. Local distortions of an average curve of
Energy budget of the bifurcated component in the radio pulsar profile of PSR J1012+5307
• Physics
• 2013
The bifurcated emission component (BEC) in the radio profile of the millisecond pulsar J1012+5307 can be interpreted as the signature of the curvature radiation beam polarised orthogonally to the
Nature of Coherent Radio Emission from Pulsars
The pulsar radio emission originates from regions below 10% of the light cylinder radius. This requires a mechanism where coherent emission is excited in relativistic pair plasma with frequency \nu

Influence of Rotation on Pulsar Radiation Characteristics
• Physics
• 2002
We present a relativistic model for pulsar radio emission by including the effect of rotation on coherent curvature radiation by bunches. We find that rotation broadens the width of the leading
Circular Polarization in Pulsars due to Curvature Radiation
The beamed radio emission from relativistic plasma (particles or bunches), constrained to move along the curved trajectories, occurs in the direction of velocity. We have generalized the coherent

We consider the effect of the magnetoactive plasma on the subpulse polarization patterns from radio pulsars. The radiation is presumed to originate from a very relativistic plasma streaming out along

We consider the classical picture of three dimensional motion of charged particles in pulsar magnetosphere. We adopt a perturbative method to solve the equation of motion, and find the trajectory of
On the method of estimating emission altitude from relativistic phase shift in pulsars
The radiation by relativistic plasma particles is beamed in the direction of field line tangents in the corotating frame, but in an inertial frame it is aberrated toward the direction of rotation. We

A model explaining the existence and properties of the circular polarization in pulsar emission is offered. It is based on the properties of waves excited in pulsar magnetospheres by possible plasma
