Discrete Event Simulation is a very well known and utilised tool, because of its inherent ability to evaluate complex systems and to consider their dynamic behaviour. On the other hand it has a shortcoming: the time to complete a simulation study is considered to be long, even with current developments in hardware and simulation software. There are some cases in a decision making process which depends on simulation that actions have to be made without time to complete a proper simulation study… CONTINUE READING
