We investigate radio emission efficiency, ξ, of pulsars and report a near-linear inverse correlation between ξ and the spin-down power, , as well as a near-linear correlation between ξ and pulsar age, τ. This is a consequence of very weak, if any, dependences of radio luminosity, L, on pulsar period, P, and the period derivative, , in contrast to X-ray or γ-ray emission luminosities. The analysis of radio fluxes suggests that these correlations are not due to a selection effect, but are…

Luminosity of a radio pulsar and its new emission death line
• Physics
• 2020
We investigated the pulsar radio luminosity ($L$), emission efficiency (ratio of radio luminosity to its spin-down power $\dot{E}$), and death line in the diagram of magnetic field (B) versus spin
On the Origin of Radio Emission from Magnetars
• Physics
• 2014
Magnetars are the most magnetized objects in the known universe. Powered by the magnetic energy, and not by the rotational energy as in the case of radio pulsars, they have long been regarded as a
Multi-wavelength afterglows of fast radio bursts
• Physics
• 2014
The physical nature of fast radio bursts (FRBs) is not identified. Detecting electromagnetic counterparts in other wavelengths is essential to measure their distances and to settle down their
Millisecond pulsars modify the radio-star-formation-rate correlation in quiescent galaxies
• Physics
• 2020
The observed correlation between the far-infrared and radio luminosities of galaxies illustrates the close connection between star formation and cosmic-ray production. Intriguingly, recent gamma-ray
The mechanism of coherent radio emission in some classes of pulsar
Radio luminosities have been estimated from published data for a well-defined homogeneous set of 29 normal pulsars. The radio-frequency energies per unit charge in the primary accelerated particle
Discovery of a pulsar wind nebula around B0950 + 08 with the ELWA
• Physics
• 2020
With the Expanded Long Wavelength Array and pulsar binning techniques, we searched for off-pulse emission from PSR B0950 + 08 at 76 MHz. Previous studies suggest that off-pulse emission can be due to
LOFAR Discovery of a 23.5 s Radio Pulsar
• Physics
The Astrophysical Journal
• 2018
We present the discovery of PSR J0250+5854, a radio pulsar with a spin period of 23.5 s. This is the slowest-spinning radio pulsar known. PSR J0250+5854 was discovered by the LOFAR Tied-Array All-Sky
Constraints on Pulsed Emission Model for Repeating FRB 121102
• Physics
• 2017
Recent localization of the repeating Fast Radio Burst (FRB) 121102 revealed the distance of its host galaxy and luminosities of the bursts. We investigated constraints on the young neutron star (NS)
Modelling double neutron stars: radio and gravitational waves
• Physics
Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society

We have implemented prescriptions for modelling pulsars in the rapid binary population synthesis code Compact Object Mergers: Population Astrophysics and Statistics. We perform a detailed analysis
A multicomponent Langmuir-mode source for the observed pulsar coherent emission
Several classes of neutron star are sources of coherent emission at frequencies of 10^2 - 10^3 MHz: others are radio-quiet. The primary emission spectra are broadly universal in form over many orders

The Velocity distribution of isolated radio pulsars
• Physics
• 2002
We infer the velocity distribution of radio pulsars based on large-scale 0.4 GHz pulsar surveys. We do so by modeling the evolution of the locations, velocities, spins, and radio luminosities of
Luminosity is an intrinsic property of radio pulsars related to the properties of the magnetospheric plasma and the beam geometry, and inversely proportional to the observing frequency. In
DETECTION OF X-RAY EMISSION FROM THE VERY OLD PULSAR J0108-1431
• Physics
• 2008
PSR J0108-1431 is a nearby, 170 Myr old, very faint radio pulsar near the "pulsar death line" in the P- diagram. We observed the pulsar field with the Chandra X-ray Observatory and detected a point
Galactic distribution and evolution of pulsars
• Physics

The distribution of pulsars with respect to period, z-distance, luminosity, and galactocentric radius has been investigated using data from three extensive pulsar surveys. It is shown that selection

limiting flux density of the survey is about 0.2 mJy. At shorter or longer periods or higher dispersions, the sensitivity is reduced. Timing observations are carried out for pulsars discovered in the
XMM-Newton Observations of Radio Pulsars B0834+06 and B0826?34 and Implications for the Pulsar Inner Accelerator
• Physics
• 2008
We report the X-ray observations of two radio pulsars with drifting subpulses, B0834+06 and B0826?34, using XMM-Newton. PSR B0834+06 was detected with a total of 70 counts from the three EPIC
