  • The composition of the aboveground flora is mainly determined by the soil microbial communities, particularly by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi AMF. The aim of this study was to indicate the role of AMF in the soil colonisation processes by two plant species, Zornia glochidiata and Pennicetum pedicellatum. The mycorrhizal soil infectivity potential was determined in soil taken from the area where the majority of each plant species was growing.
