We study = 1 four dimensional quiver theories arising on the worldvolume of D3-branes at del Pezzo singularities of Calabi-Yau threefolds. We argue that under local mirror symmetry D3-branes become D6-branes wrapped on a three torus in the mirror manifold. The type-IIB (p,q) 5-brane web description of the local del Pezzo, being closely related to the geometry of its mirror manifold, encodes the geometry of 3-cycles and is used to obtain gauge groups, quiver diagrams and the charges of the…

Geometric dualities in 4d field theories and their 5d interpretation

We study four-dimensional = 1 gauge theories arising on D3-branes probing toric singularities. Toric dualities and flows between theories corresponding to different singularities are analyzed by

Dimer models from mirror symmetry and quivering amoebae

Dimer models are 2-dimensional combinatorial systems that have been shown to encode the gauge groups, matter content and tree-level superpotential of the world-volume quiver gauge theories obtained

The web of D-branes at singularities in compact Calabi-Yau manifolds

A bstractWe present novel continuous supersymmetric transitions which take place among different chiral configurations of D3/D7 branes at singularities in the context of type IIB Calabi-Yau

On Local F-theory Geometries and Intersecting D7-branes

We discuss local F-theory geometries and their gauge theory dualities in terms of intersecting D7-branes wrapped four-cycles in Type IIB superstring. The manifolds are built as elliptic K3 surface

Deformations of toric singularities and fractional branes

Fractional branes added to a large stack of D3-branes at the singularity of a Calabi-Yau cone modify the quiver gauge theory breaking conformal invariance and leading to different kinds of IR

Dimers and orientifolds

We introduce new techniques based on brane tilings to investigate D3-branes probing orientifolds of toric Calabi-Yau singularities. With these new tools, one can write down many orientifold models

Geometric dualities in 4 d field theories and their 5 d interpretation

We study four-dimensional N = 1 gauge theories arising on D3-branes probing toric singularities. Toric dualities and flows between theories corresponding to different singularities are analyzed by

Hidden exceptional global symmetries in 4d CFTs

We study four dimensional = 1 gauge theories that arise on the worldvolume of D3-branes probing complex cones over del Pezzo surfaces. Global symmetries of the gauge theories are made explicit by

D-branes on vanishing del Pezzo surfaces

We analyze in detail the case of a marginally stable D-Brane on a collapsed del Pezzo surface in a Calabi-Yau threefold using the derived category of quiver representations and the idea of aligned

Quivers, tilings, branes and rhombi

We describe a simple algorithm that computes the recently discovered brane tilings for a given generic toric singular Calabi-Yau threefold. This therefore gives AdS/CFT dual quiver gauge theories for

D-Branes And Mirror Symmetry

We study (2,2) supersymmetric field theories on two-dimensional worldsheet with boundaries. We determine D-branes (boundary conditions and boundary interactions) that preserve half of the bulk

Phase structure of D-brane gauge theories and toric duality

Harnessing the unimodular degree of freedom in the definition of any toric diagram, we present a method of constructing inequivalent gauge theories which are world-volume theories of D-branes probing

Del Pezzo surfaces and affine 7-brane backgrounds

A map between string junctions in the affine 7-brane backgrounds and vector bundles on Del Pezzo surfaces is constructed using mirror symmetry. It is shown that the lattice of string junctions with

Geometric Transitions and N=1 Quiver Theories

We construct N=1 supersymmetric theories on worldvolumes of D5 branes wrapped around 2-cycles of threefolds which are A-D-E fibrations over a plane. We propose large N duals as geometric transitions

Five-branes, seven-branes and five-dimensional E n field theories

We generalize the (p,q) 5-brane web construction of five-dimensional field theories by introducing (p,q) 7-branes, and apply this construction to theories with a one-dimensional Coulomb branch. The

Duality and Weyl Symmetry of 7-brane Configurations

Extending earlier results on the duality symmetries of three-brane probe theories we define the duality subgroup of SL(2,Z) as the symmetry group of the background 7-branes configurations. We

Webs of (p,q) 5-branes, five dimensional field theories and grid diagrams

We continue to study 5d N = 1 supersymmetric field theories and their compactifications on a circle through brane configurations. We develop a model, which we call (p,q) Webs, which enables simple
