The fate of Cauchy horizons, such as those found inside charged black holes, is intrinsically connected to the decay of small perturbations exterior to the event horizon. As such, the validity of the strong cosmic censorship (SCC) conjecture is tied to how effectively the exterior damps fluctuations. Here, we study massless scalar fields in the exterior of Reissner-Nordström-de Sitter black holes. Their decay rates are governed by quasinormal modes of the black hole. We identify three families… Expand

Strong Cosmic Censorship under Quasinormal Modes of Non-Minimally Coupled Massive Scalar Field
We investigate the strong cosmic censorship conjecture in lukewarm Reissner-Nordstrom-de Sitter black holes (and Martinez-Troncoso-Zanelli black holes) using the quasinormal resonance ofExpand
Quasinormal modes and strong cosmic censorship in near-extremal Kerr–Newman–de Sitter black-hole spacetimes
Abstract The quasinormal resonant modes of massless neutral fields in near-extremal Kerr–Newman–de Sitter black-hole spacetimes are calculated in the eikonal regime. It is explicitly proved that, inExpand
Strong cosmic censorship in charged black-hole spacetimes: As strong as ever

Quantum aspects of charged black holes in de-Sitter space.
It has been argued that generic classical perturbations to asymptotically de-Sitter Reissner-Nordtsrom (RN-dS) black holes may violate strong cosmic censorship conjecture. In this paper, we analyzeExpand
