This paper deals with the problem of open systems out of equilibrium. An analytical expression for a time-dependent density matrix of two arbitrarily coupled identical quantum oscillators interacting with separate reservoirs is derived using path integral methods. The temporal behavior of spatial variances and of covariance from given initial values up to stationary values is investigated. It is shown that at comparatively low coupling strengths, the asymptotic variances in the long-time limit…
Dynamics and Stationarity of Two Coupled Arbitrary Oscillators Interacting with Separate Reservoirs
The paper is devoted to description of relaxation of complex open systems to quasi-equilibrium states. Time-dependent Hermitian density matrix of two arbitrary coupled quantum oscillators of
Natural criteria of quantum correlations of two coupled oscillators interacting with baths
We consider a problem of description of quantum correlations and dispersions of subsystems of complex open systems. Based on our previous results we proposed a method to evaluate pure quantum
Coupled quantum oscillators within independent quantum reservoirs
This paper addresses the problem of open quantum systems. The energy of interaction of coupled dissipative systems is the main focus of the study. Quantum Langevin equations for two quantum coupling
Quantum correlations for two coupled oscillators interacting with two heat baths
We study a system of two coupled oscillators (A oscillators), each of which linearly interact with their own heat bath consisting of a set of independent harmonic oscillators (B oscillators). The i...

Exact results for a damped quantum-mechanical harmonic oscillator.
The commonly used form of Ehrenfest's equation for the dynamics of the linearly damped oscillator is shown to only be a reasonable approximation within certain frequency regimes.
Non-markovian entanglement dynamics of quantum continuous variable systems in thermal environments
We study two continuous variable systems (or two harmonic oscillators) and investigate their entanglement evolution under the influence of non-Markovian thermal environments. The continuous variable
Relaxation Phenomena in a System of Two Harmonic Oscillators
We study the process by which quantum correlations are created when an interaction Hamiltonian is repeatedly applied to a system of two harmonic oscillators for some characteristic time interval. We
Dynamics of Gaussian discord between two oscillators interacting with a common environment
Evidence pointing to the fact that Gaussian discord is not always a good approximation of true discord is shown to be a nondecreasing function of temperature (in the high-temperature regime), reaching an asymptotic value of log(2) for a pure initial state (and lower values for mixed initial states).
Finite quantum dissipation: the challenge of obtaining specific heat
We consider a free particle coupled with finite strength to a bath and investigate the evaluation of its specific heat. A harmonic oscillator bath of Drude type with cutoff frequency !D is employed

The exact master equation for two, and its generalization to N, harmonic oscillators interacting with a general environment are expected to be useful for the analysis of quantum coherence, entanglement, fluctuations, and dissipation of mesoscopic objects toward the construction of a theoretical framework for macroscopic quantum phenomena.
Independent oscillator model of a heat bath: Exact diagonalization of the Hamiltonian
The problem of a quantum oscillator coupled to an independent-oscillator model of a heat bath is discussed. The transformation to normal coordinates is explicitly constructed using the method of
Dynamical phases for the evolution of the entanglement between two oscillators coupled to the same environment
We study the dynamics of the entanglement between two oscillators that are initially prepared in a general two-mode Gaussian state and evolve while coupled to the same environment. In a previous
Dynamics of the entanglement between two oscillators in the same environment.
A complete characterization of the evolution of entanglement between two resonant oscillators coupled to a common environment is provided and analytic expressions for the boundary between phases are obtained.
