The flavor and spin structure for the quark distributions of the $\ensuremath{\Lambda}$ baryon is studied in a perturbative QCD (PQCD) analysis and in the SU(6) quark-diquark model, and then applied to calculate the $\ensuremath{\Lambda}$ polarization of semi-inclusive $\ensuremath{\Lambda}$ production in ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ annihilation near the Z pole. It is found that the quark-diquark model gives a very good description of the available experimental data. The PQCD model can also…

Spin alignment of vector mesons in high energy pp collisions
• Physics
• 2020
The spin alignment of vector mesons produced in high energy reactions is determined by the spin-dependent fragmentation function ${D}_{1LL}(z,{\ensuremath{\mu}}_{f})$ that is shown to be independent
Flavor and spin structure of Λ-baryon at large x
• Physics
• 1999
It is shown that a perturbative QCD (pQCD) based analysis and the SU(6) quark-diquark model give significant different predictions concerning the flavor and spin structure for the quark distributions

Abstract We present a general analysis of the spin transfer for Λ and Λ production in deep-inelastic scattering of polarized charged leptons on the nucleon, and find that the pattern of different
Up and down quark contributions to spin content of Λ from fragmentation
Abstract We check the u and d quark contributions to the spin content of the Λ by means of the q → Λ fragmentation and find that the u and d quarks of the Λ are likely positively polarized. The
Quark distributions of octet baryons from SU(3) symmetry
• Physics
• 2002
SU(3) symmetry relations between the octet baryons are introduced in order to connect both the unpolarized and polarized quark distributions of the octet baryons with those of the nucleon. Two

Abstract We perform a study on the struck quark to the Λ-hyperon fragmentation processes by taking into account the anti-quark fragmentations and intermediate decays from other hyperons. We
Ratio of Λ/Λ in semi-inclusive electroproduction

Abstract It is shown that the Λ /Λ cross section ratio in semi-inclusive electroproduction of Λ and Λ hyperons in deep inelastic scattering of charged lepton on a nucleon target, can provide useful
Resolving flavor structure of Λ fragmentation functions via asymmetry in Λ/Λ̄ production
Abstract We investigate the flavor structure of the Λ fragmentation functions by means of the asymmetry A Λ for Λ/ Λ produced in hadron–nucleon collisions. The production asymmetries for Λ/ Λ in k +
Flavor and Spin Structure of Octet Baryons at Large x
• Physics
• 2000
The quark flavor and spin distributions in octet baryons are calculated both in the SU(6) quark spectator diquark model and in a perturbative QCD (pQCD) based model. It is shown that the Λ has the
