We propose a unified mass matrix model for quarks and leptons, in which sixteen observables of mass ratios and mixings of the quarks and neutrinos are described by using no family number-dependent parameters except for the charged lepton masses and only six family number-independent free parameters. The model is constructed by extending the so-called "Yukawaon" model to a seesaw type model with the smallest number of possible family number-independent free parameters. As a result, once the six…

Quark and lepton mass matrices described by charged lepton masses
• Physics
• 2015
Recently, we proposed a unified mass matrix model for quarks and leptons, in which, mass ratios and mixings of the quarks and neutrinos are described by using only the observed charged lepton mass
A New Empirical Approach to Quark and Lepton Masses
We present an alternative to the Koide formula and it’s extensions. By introducing two parameters k and ↵f derived from charged leptons we are able to construct new empirical formulas that appear to
A New Empirical Approach to Lepton and Quark Masses
A lepton ratio with a small dimensionless residual ke = me m_t^2 /m_u^3 and mass scaling factor alpha_f = 27me /m_t are used to construct empirical formulas for charged leptons, left-handed neutrinos
Flavon VEV Scales in U(3)$\times$U(3)$'$ Model
• Physics

We have recently proposed a quark and lepton mass matrix model based on U(3)×U(3)′ family symmetry as the so-called Yukawaon model, in which the U(3) symmetry is broken by VEVs of flavons (Φf)iα
A relaxed version of Koide's mass formula from Yukawaons: classical and SUSY scenarios
• Physics
• 2020
We present a relaxed version of Koide's mass formula from a nonet Yukawaon scalar in the $\mathrm{SU}(3)$ flavor symmetry. Koide's character $K$, which involves the Standard Model fermion masses, is

It is shown that the so-called "Yukawaon" model can give a unified description of masses, mixing and $CP$ violation parameters of quarks and leptons without using any hierarchical (family

Reliable values of quark and lepton masses are important for model building at a fundamental energy scale, such as the Fermi scale M-Z approximate to 91.2 GeV and the would-be GUT scale Lambda(GUT)
New view of quark and lepton mass hierarchy
The hierarchical structure of realistic quark and lepton masses is investigated on the basis of a three-family model, where masses and mixings of the first- and second-generation quarks are

In the so-called yukawaon" model, the (effective) Yukawa coupling constants $Y_f^{eff}$ are given by vacuum expectation values (VEVs) of scalars $Y_f$ (yukawaons) with $3\times 3$ components. In
