We calculate quantum gravitational corrections to the entropy of black holes using the Wald entropy formula within an effective field theory approach to quantum gravity. The corrections to the entropy are calculated to second order in curvature and we calculate a subset of those at third order. We show that, at third order in curvature, interesting issues appear that had not been considered previously in the literature. The fact that the Schwarzschild metric receives corrections at this order in…
Quantum gravitational corrections to the entropy of a Reissner–Nordström black hole
Starting from an effective action for quantum gravity, we calculate the quantum gravitational corrections to the Wald entropy of a four dimensional non-extremal Reissner–Nordström (RN) black hole in
Quantum Gravitational Corrections to the Geometry of Charged AdS Black Holes
: We study the quantum gravitational corrections to the geometry of a four-dimensional charged (Reissner-Nordstr¨om) Anti de Sitter black hole starting from an effective field theory approach to
Quantum Gravitational Corrections to the Entropy of a Reissner-Nordstr\"om Black Hole
Starting from an effective action for quantum gravity, we calculate the quantum gravitational corrections to the Wald entropy of a four dimensional non-extremal ReissnerNordström (RN) black hole in
Logarithmic correction to black hole entropy from the nonlocality of quantum gravity
It has been known for many years that the leading correction to the black hole entropy is a logarithmic term, which is universal and closely related to conformal anomaly. A fully consistent analysis
Thermodynamic Property of Schwarzschild Black Hole in Non-Commutative Gauge Theory of Gravity
: In this paper, we constructed the deformed Schwarzschild black hole in the non-commutative (NC) gauge theory of gravity. Where the singularity at the origin is shifted by the non-commutativity to
Black Holes in Quantum Gravity
We review some recent results obtained for black holes using effective field theory methods applied to quantum gravity, in particular the unique effective action. Black holes are complex

Quantum corrections to Schwarzschild black hole
Using effective field theory techniques, we compute quantum corrections to spherically symmetric solutions of Einstein’s gravity and focus in particular on the Schwarzschild black hole. Quantum
The horizon of the lightest black hole
We study the properties of the poles of the resummed graviton propagator obtained by resumming bubble matter diagrams which correct the classical graviton propagator. These poles have been previously
Entanglement Entropy of Black Holes
TLDR
The focus in the review is on the systematic use of the conical singularity method and the puzzling behavior of the entanglement entropy due to fields, which non-minimally couple to gravity, which is illustrated on two- and four-dimensional examples.
Pressure and volume in the first law of black hole thermodynamics
The mass of a black hole is interpreted, in terms of thermodynamic potentials, as being the enthalpy, with the pressure given by the cosmological constant. The volume is then defined as being the
Black Holes and Quantum Gravity at the LHC
We argue that the highly studied black hole signatures based on thermal multiparticle final states are very unlikely and only occur in a very limited parameter regime if at all. However, we show that
