We demonstrate multiwavelength channel optical logic operations on the Bloch vector of a quantum two-level system in the structured electromagnetic vacuum of a bimodal photonic crystal waveguide. This arises through a bichromatic strong-coupling effect that enables unprecedented control over single quantum-dot (QD) excitation through two beams of ultrashort femtojoule pulses. The second driving pulse (signal) with slightly different frequency and weaker strength than the first (holding) pulse…
TERAHERTZ ALL-OPTICAL BINARY REGISTER USING D FLIP-FLOP WITH NON-LINEAR MATERIAL : A PROPOSAL
All-optical D flip-flops with preset (PR) and clear (CLR) are basic edifice components for the design of terahertz all optical binary register. In this paper, a non-linear material based all-optical

TLDR
It is demonstrated that picosecond, high-contrast population flipping of two-level atoms interacting with femtojoule optical pulses in a 3D photonic band gap waveguide can remain nearly complete after the pulse subsides.
Vacuum Rabi splitting with a single quantum dot in a photonic crystal nanocavity
TLDR
The experimental realization of a strongly coupled system in the solid state is reported: a single quantum dot embedded in the spacer of a nanocavity, showing vacuum-field Rabi splitting exceeding the decoherence linewidths of both the nanoc Cavity and the quantum dot.
Strong coupling in a single quantum dot–semiconductor microcavity system
TLDR
The observation of strong coupling of a single two-level solid-state system with a photon, as realized by a single quantum dot in a semiconductor microcavity, may provide a basis for future applications in quantum information processing or schemes for coherent control.
