We study the quantization of spherically symmetric vacuum spacetimes within loop quantum gravity. In particular, we give additional details about our previous work in which we showed that one could complete the quantization of the model and that the singularity inside black holes is resolved. Moreover, we consider an alternative quantization based on a slightly different kinematical Hilbert space. The ambiguity in kinematical spaces stems from how one treats the periodicity of one of the…
Quantum self-gravitating collapsing matter in a quantum geometry
The problem of how space-time responds to gravitating quantum matter in full quantum gravity has been one of the main questions that any program of quantization of gravity should address. Here we

TLDR
This is a review of results on black hole physics in the context of loop quantum gravity, finding the discreteness of geometric quantities at the Planck scale predicted by this approach to quantum gravity to be key.
Reduced phase space quantization of black holes: Path integrals and effective dynamics
We consider the loop quantum theory of the spherically symmetric model of gravity coupled to Gaussian dust fields, where the Gaussian dust fields provide a material reference frame of the space and
Schrödinger-like quantum dynamics in loop quantized black holes
We show, following a previous quantization of a vacuum spherically symmetric spacetime carried out in [R. Gambini, J. Olmedo and J. Pullin, Class. Quantum Grav. 31 (2014) 095009.] that this setting
Towards a quantum notion of covariance in spherically symmetric loop quantum gravity
The covariance of loop quantum gravity studies of spherically symmetric space-times has recently been questioned. This is a reasonable worry, given that they are formulated in terms of
Effective quantum extended spacetime of polymer Schwarzschild black hole
The physical interpretation and eventual fate of gravitational singularities in a theory surpassing classical general relativity are puzzling questions that have generated a great deal of interest
New loop quantum cosmology modifications from gauge-covariant fluxes
Loop quantum cosmology is a symmetry reduced quantization of cosmological spacetimes based on loop quantum gravity. While it has been successful in resolution of various cosmological singularities
Brief Review on Black Hole Loop Quantization
Here, we present a review about the quantization of spherically-symmetric spacetimes adopting loop quantum gravity techniques. Several models that have been studied so far share similar properties:
Quantum Cauchy surfaces in canonical quantum gravity
For a Dirac theory of quantum gravity obtained from the refined algebraic quantization procedure, we propose a quantum notion of Cauchy surfaces. In such a theory, there is a kernel projector for the

Loop quantization of the Schwarzschild black hole.
TLDR
The algebra of Hamiltonian constraints Abelian is made, and therefore the constraint algebra is a true Lie algebra, which allows the completion of the Dirac quantization procedure using loop quantum gravity techniques.
Loop quantization of vacuum Bianchi I cosmology
We analyze the loop quantization of the family of vacuum Bianchi I spacetimes, a gravitational system of which classical solutions describe homogeneous anisotropic cosmologies. We rigorously
Loop quantization of spherically symmetric midi‐superspaces : the interior problem
We continue the study of spherically symmetric vacuum space‐times in loop quantum gravity by treating the interior of a black hole. We start from a midi‐superspace approach, but a simple gauge fixing
A brief introduction to Loop Quantum Cosmology
In recent years, Loop Quantum Gravity has emerged as a solid candidate for a nonperturbative quantum theory of General Relativity. It is a background independent theory based on a description of the
Disappearance of the black hole singularity in loop quantum gravity
We apply techniques recently introduced in quantum cosmology to the Schwarzschild metric inside the horizon and near the black hole singularity at r = 0. In particular, we use the quantization
Black hole evaporation without information loss
An approach to black hole quantization is proposed wherein it is assumed that quantum coherence is preserved. After giving our motivations for such a quantization procedure we formulate the
Kinematical Hilbert Spaces for Fermionic and Higgs Quantum Field Theories
We extend the recently developed kinematical framework for diffeomorphism-invariant theories of connections for compact gauge groups to the case of a diffeomorphism-invariant quantum field theory

The Dirac constraint quantization of a finite-dimensional relativistic gauge system with a quadratic super-Hamiltonian and linear supermomenta is investigated as a model for quantizing generally
Loop Quantum Cosmology: A Status Report
Loop quantum cosmology (LQC) is the result of applying principles of loop quantum gravity (LQG) to cosmological settings. The distinguishing feature of LQC is the prominent role played by the quantum
