A method for treating the Hilbert space with an indefinite metric operator is given. Any transformation of state vectors and operators appearing in physics is generated by a "pseudo-unitary operator". For such transformations two kinds of transformation properties, "covariant" and "con travariant ", are considered, just like in the case of the Lorentz transformations in the Minkowski space. It is shown that the difficulty of the Lorentz non-invariance of Gupta's theory in the quantum…

Indefinite metric in quantum field theory
The quantization of field theory by introduction of an indefinite metric is discussed. A mathematical introduction to the properties of a vector space with an indefinite metric is presented. The
Quantization of free electromagnetic field: A different approach to the time-like polarization
A four-dimensional photon polarization space, such that gives a different interpretation of the ladder operators for the time-like degree comparing to the Gupta-Bleuler formulation is presented. This
Schrödinger equation for joint bidirectional motion in time
The conventional time-dependent Schrodinger equation describes only unidirectional time evolution of the state of a physical system, i.e. forward or, less commonly, backward. This paper proposes a
