We experimentally demonstrate strong coupling between the ferromagnetic magnons in a small yttrium-iron-garnet (YIG) sphere and the drive-field-induced dressed states of a superconducting qubit, which gives rise to the double dressing of the superconducting qubit. The YIG sphere and the superconducting qubit are embedded in a microwave cavity and the effective coupling between them is mediated by the virtual cavity photons. The theoretical results fit the experimental observations well in a…

Ultrastrong photon-to-magnon coupling in multilayered heterostructures involving superconducting coherence via ferromagnetic layers

TLDR
Study of the microscopic mechanism of the photon-to-magnon coupling evidences formation of the long-range superconducting coherence via thick strong ferromagnetic layers in superconductor/ferromagnet/superconductor trilayer in the presence of magnetization precession.

Coherent coupling between multiple ferrimagnetic spheres and a microwave cavity at millikelvin temperatures

The spin resonance of electrons can be coupled to a microwave cavity mode to obtain a photon-magnon hybrid system. These quantum systems are widely studied for both fundamental physics and

Coherent coupling between a ferromagnetic magnon and a superconducting qubit

TLDR
The coherent coupling between a single-magnon excitation in a millimeter-sized ferromagnetic sphere and a superconducting qubit is demonstrated, with the coupling strength far exceeding the damping rates, thus bringing the hybrid system into the strong coupling regime.

Strong field interactions between a nanomagnet and a photonic cavity.

TLDR
It is found that exceptionally large quantum-coherent magnet-photon coupling can be achieved and is predicted to be achievable in a spherical cavity with a nanomagnet of approximately 100 nm radius and ferromagnetic resonance frequency of approximately 200 GHz.

A dressed spin qubit in silicon.

TLDR
The properties of the dressed, donor-bound electron spin in silicon are investigated, and its potential as a quantum bit in scalable architectures is assessed.

Resolving quanta of collective spin excitations in a millimeter-sized ferromagnet

TLDR
This work resolves magnon number states through spectroscopic measurements of a superconducting qubit with the hybrid system in the strong dispersive regime, enabling it to detect a change in the magnetic moment of the ferromagnet equivalent to a single spin flipped among more than 1019 spins.

Amplification and attenuation of a probe signal by doubly dressed states

We analyze a system composed of a qubit coupled to the electromagnetic fields in two high quality quantum oscillators. A particular realization of such a system is the superconducting qubit coupled

Dressed-state amplification by a single superconducting qubit.

TLDR
Amplification of a microwave signal by a strongly driven two-level system in a coplanar waveguide resonator is demonstrated and excellent agreement between the experimental results and the theoretical predictions obtained in the dressed-state model is found.

Observation of the exceptional point in cavity magnon-polaritons

TLDR
By tuning the magnon–photon coupling strength, an exceptional point and spontaneous symmetry breaking in a cavity magnon-polariton system are observed and the polaritonic coherent perfect absorption is observed and demonstrated at the exceptional point.

Magnon-Photon-Phonon Entanglement in Cavity Magnomechanics.

TLDR
The results indicate that cavity magnomechanical systems could provide a promising platform for the study of macroscopic quantum phenomena and be a genuinely tripartite entangled state against temperature.

Size dependence of strong coupling between nanomagnets and photonic cavities

The coherent dynamics of a coupled photonic cavity and a nanomagnet is explored as a function of nanomagnet size. For sufficiently strong coupling eigenstates involving highly entangled photon and

Observation of high coherence in Josephson junction qubits measured in a three-dimensional circuit QED architecture.

TLDR
A new architecture for superconducting quantum circuits employing a three-dimensional resonator that suppresses qubit decoherence while maintaining sufficient coupling to the control signal is introduced, demonstrating that Josephson junction qubits are highly coherent.
