• Evolution by the Gross-Pitaevskii equation, which describes Bose-Einstein condensates under certain conditions, solves the unstructured search problem more efficiently than does the Schr\"odinger equation, because it includes a cubic nonlinearity, proportional to $|\psi|^2\psi$.
