Measurements indicating that planar networks of superconductive islands connected by Josephson junctions display long-range quantum coherence are reported. The networks consist of superconducting islands connected by Josephson junctions and have a tree-like topological structure containing no loops. Enhancements of superconductive gaps over specific branches of the networks and sharp increases in pair currents are the main signatures of the coherent states. In order to unambiguously attribute…

Evidence of Long-Range Coherence in Superconducting Networks

Systematic experimental investigations are reported of charge transport in double-comb and star-shaped planar arrays obtained by coupling superconducting islands via Josephson tunnel junctions. The

On the Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer interaction in quantum graphs

We introduce a real-space version of the Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer interaction allowing the investigation of the non-trivial interplay between many-body physics and particles confinement on a quantum

Josephson Currents and Gap Enhancement in Graph Arrays of Superconductive Islands

Results have been obtained both on star and double comb-shaped arrays and the coupling between the islands is provided by Josephson junctions whose potential can be tuned by external magnetic field or temperature.

Conditioning of Superconductive Properties in Graph-Shaped Reticles

Observations on phenomena observed in planar integrated networks obtained connecting superconducting island by Josephson tunnel junctions, which show a singular behavior when a critical value is reached by the Josephson characteristic energy.

Cooper pairs localization in tree-like networks of superconducting islands

We study inhomogeneous Cooper pairs distribution and localization effects in tree-like networks of superconducting islands coupled via Josephson weak links. Using a generalized Feynman’s approach,

A generalization of the de Gennes-Alexander micronetworks theory is presented and it is demonstrated that star networks support the exponential localization of the order parameter accompanied by an enhancement of the critical temperature of the system.

Probing XY phase transitions in a Josephson junction array with tunable frustration

The seminal theoretical works of Berezinskii, Kosterlitz, and Thouless presented a paradigm for phase transitions in condensed matter that are driven by topological excitations. These transitions

Theoretical interpretation of resistive transition data from arrays of superconducting weak links

The effects of a vortex-unbinding phase transition on the properties of a square lattice of superconducting weak links are discussed. Formulas relating bulk static quantities such as the penetration

Harmonic Analysis on Inhomogeneous Amenable Networks and the Bose–Einstein Condensation

We study in detail relevant spectral properties of the adjacency matrix of inhomogeneous amenable networks, and in particular those arising by negligible additive perturbations of periodic lattices.
