A four-dimensional photon polarization space, such that gives a different interpretation of the ladder operators for the time-like degree comparing to the Gupta-Bleuler formulation is presented. This interpretation, coming from the construction of a covariant Hamiltonian, gives positive defined norms for all the four polarization degrees of freedom. This paper is written in the background of reducible representation algebras introduced by Czachor, although the interpretation of the ladder…

Regularization as Quantization in Reducible Representations of CCR
A covariant quantization scheme employing reducible representations of canonical commutation relations with positive-definite metric and Hermitian four-potentials (an alternative to the Gupta-Bleuler
Electromagnetic compensating gauge transformations
Automatic Regularization by Quantization in Reducible Representations of CCR: Point-Form Quantum Optics with Classical Sources
Electromagnetic fields are quantized in a manifestly covariant way by means of a class of reducible “center-of-mass N-representations” of the algebra of canonical commutation relations (CCR). The
Quantum Theory in Pseudo-Hilbert Space. II
A method for treating the Hilbert space with an indefinite metric operator is given. Any transformation of state vectors and operators appearing in physics is generated by a "pseudo-unitary
Point form electrodynamics and the Gupta–Bleuler formalism
Noncanonical quantum optics
Modification of the right-hand-side of canonical commutation relations (CCR) naturally occurs if one considers a harmonic oscillator with indefinite frequency. Quantization of electromagnetic field
Theory of longitudinal photons in quantum electrodynamics
The radiation field is quantized by introducing four types of photons - two transverse, one longitudinal, and one scalar. The scalar photons are treated by using an indefinite metric, and it is found
E(2)-like little group for massless particles and neutrino polarization as a consequence of gauge invariance
The content of the isomorphism between the two-dimensional Euclidean group and the E(2)-like little group for massless particles is studied in detail. Representations of the E(2) group are explicitly
Space-time symmetries for massless composite particles are studied within the kinematical framework of the relativistic harmonic-oscillator formalism. It is noted first that the Lorentz-invariant
Indecomposability of poincare-group representations over massless fields, and the quantization problem for electromagnetic potentials
Considering the little group of the Poincare group associated with a lightlike four-vector, we determine explicitly, in global form, the representation of this little group over the space of
