PURPOSE Commercial CT-based image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT) systems allow widespread management of geometric variations in patient setup and internal organ motion. This document provides consensus recommendations for quality assurance protocols that ensure patient safety and patient treatment fidelity for such systems. METHODS The AAPM TG-179 reviews clinical implementation and quality assurance aspects for commercially available CT-based IGRT, each with their unique capabilities and…

Low cost multifunctional 3D printed image quality and dose verification phantom for an image-guided radiotherapy system
The multifunctional phantom module meets the ACR recommended QA guidelines and is suitable for both LINACs and CT-sim, and meet the American College of Radiology (ACR) standards for QA of CT simulators and LINacs.
Image quality and dose of an accelerator-integrated kV CBCT systems
The research described in this dissertation was focused on investigation of the image quality of the planar and cone-beam computed tomography images of two imaging systems commonly used in radiotherapy: Varian On-Board Imager (OBI) and Elekta X-ray Volumetric Imagers (XVI).
Recommendations on the Practice of Calibration, Dosimetry, and Quality Assurance for Gamma Stereotactic Radiosurgery: Report of AAPM Task Group 178.
The TG-178 report recommends a GSR dose-rate calibration formalism and provides tabulated data to implement it for ionization chambers commonly used in GSR dosimetry and describes routine mechanical, dosimetric and safety checks for GSR devices.
Quality Assurance Results for a Commercial Radiosurgery System
With proper QA processes, the reported SRS system complies with tolerances set out in established guidelines, and discussions with the vendor are ongoing to address some of the hardware issues related to cone alignment.
The potential failure risk of the cone-beam computed tomography-based planning target volume margin definition for prostate image-guided radiotherapy based on a prospective single-institutional hybrid analysis
To determine a reliable CBCT-ST-based PTV margin, at least the systemic error Σ and the random error σ for on-line matching errors need to be investigated by supportive preliminary FM evaluation at least once.

A quality assurance program for image quality of cone-beam CT guidance in radiation therapy.
The authors are presenting data demonstrating the high linearity of CT numbers, the uniformity of axial reconstructions, and the high contrast spatial resolution of ten CBCT systems from two commercial vendors, as well as demonstrating the long-term stability of the flat-panel detector and of the distances measured on reconstructed volumetric images.
Commissioning and clinical implementation of a mega-voltage cone beam CT system for treatment localization.
The commissioning and clinical implementation of the Siemens MVision mega-voltage cone beam CT (MV-CBCT) system is presented, the geometry and gain calibration procedures for the system are described, and guidelines for quality assurance procedures are provided.
