Net blotch, caused by Pyrenophora teres f. teres, is a damaging foliar disease of barley worldwide. It is important to identify resistance germplasm and study their genetics. 'Chevron', a six-rowed barley used as a parent for the production of a doubled haploid (DH) population for mapping of Fusarium head blight (FHB) resistance, was also found to be resistant to net blotch.
