We explore the phase diagram of two-flavor quantum chromodynamics (QCD) at imaginary values of baryon and isospin chemical potentials, μB and μiso, analyzing the thermodynamic potential of QCD analytically and that of the Polyakov-loop extended Nambu–Jona-Lasinio (PNJL) model numerically. QCD has no pion condensation at imaginary μB and μiso, and therefore has discrete symmetries that are not present at real μB and μiso. The PNJL model possesses all the discrete symmetries. It can reproduce…

Phase diagram of Yang-Mills theories in the presence of a θ term

We study the phase diagram of non-Abelian pure gauge theories in the presence of a topological theta term. The dependence of the deconfinement temperature on theta is determined on the lattice both

Equation of state in the PNJL model with the entanglement interaction

The equation of state and the phase diagram in two-flavor quantum chromodynamics (QCD) are investigated by the Polyakov-loop extended Nambu?Jona-Lasinio (PNJL) model with an entanglement vertex

Quark?gluon thermodynamics with the ${Z}_{N_c}$ symmetry

We investigate quark?gluon thermodynamics with the symmetry. The flavor-dependent twist boundary condition (TBC) is imposed on Nc degenerate flavor quarks in the SU(Nc) gauge theory. This model is

Thermodynamics of strongly interacting matter in a hybrid model

The equation of state and fluctuations of conserved charges in a strongly interacting medium under equilibrium conditions form the baseline upon which various possible scenarios in relativistic

Confinement and $\mathbb {Z}_{3}$ symmetry in three-flavor QCD

We investigate the relation between the confinement and the Z3 symmetry in three-flavor QCD with imaginary isospin chemical potentials (μu ,μ d ,μ s) = (iθ T, −iθ T,0), using the Polyakov-loop

Two-color QCD at imaginary chemical potential and its impact on real chemical potential

We study properties of two-color QCD at imaginary chemical potential ($\mu$) from the viewpoint of the Roberge-Weiss (RW) periodicity, the charge conjugation and the pseudo-reality. At $\mu=\pm i\pi

Consistent approach to study gluon quasiparticles

We discuss a novel approach to estimate the partition function in effective model frameworks when the effective potentials have multiple extrema, so that ascertaining a mean field becomes difficult.

We study the Roberge-Weiss (RW) transitions at different center symmetry breaking cases by using a $\mathbb{Z}_{3}$-QCD model. In our calculation, the flavor-dependent quark imaginary chemical

Phases of QCD: lattice thermodynamics and a field theoretical model

We investigate three-color QCD thermodynamics at finite quark chemical potential. Lattice QCD results are compared with a generalized Nambu Jona-Lasinio model in which quarks couple simultaneously to

Determination of QCD phase diagram from the imaginary chemical potential (熱場の量子論とその応用)

We test the reliability of the Polyakov-loop extended Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (PNJL) model, comparing the model result with the lattice data at nonzero imaginary chemical potential. The PNJL model with

QCD at finite isospin density.

The results imply a nontrivial phase diagram in the space of temperature and chemical potentials of isospin and baryon number, which leads to conjecture that the transition from hadron to quark matter is smooth, which passes several tests.

MESONIC CORRELATION FUNCTIONS AT FINITE TEMPERATURE AND DENSITY IN THE NAMBU–JONA–LASINIO MODEL WITH A POLYAKOV LOOP

We investigate the properties of scalar and pseudo-scalar mesons at finite temperature and quark chemical potential in the framework of the Nambu–Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model coupled to the Polyakov loop

Phase structure of the Polyakov-quark-meson model

The relation between the deconfinement and chiral phase transition is explored in the framework of a Polyakov-loop-extended two-flavor quark-meson (PQM) model. In this model the Polyakov loop

Polyakov loop in chiral quark models at finite temperature

We describe results for the confinement‐deconfinement phase transition as predicted by the Nambu‐Jona‐Lasinio model where the local and quantum Polyakov loop is coupled to the constituent quarks in a

Polyakov loop, diquarks, and the two-flavor phase diagram

An updated version of the PNJL model is used to study the thermodynamics of N{sub f}=2 quark flavors interacting through chiral four-point couplings and propagating in a homogeneous Polyakov loop
