We present our results on the characterization of ultrafast excited state dynamics of two phthalocyanines in thin film form studied using femtosecond pump-probe technique. One was a symmetric Zinc phthalocyanine (SPc) while the other was an unsymmetrical Zinc phthalocyanine (USPc). The femtosecond (fs) pulses at 800 nm were characterized using a single shot autocorrelator.
