PURPOSE OF REVIEW Psychological factors affecting pediatric inflammatory bowel disease, intervention and other therapeutic resources are reviewed. RECENT FINDINGS Children with inflammatory bowel disease are at risk for more difficulties in psychosocial functioning than healthy children, particularly depression, anxiety and social difficulties.
